Rules to Be Observed by You (the Customer) Throughout the Course

You remain responsible for yourself and your child throughout each lesson.
You or the nominated guardian must behave in a way that promotes the safety and comfort of everyone attending. We reserve the right to ask you or the guardian to leave the premises if this is not upheld. No refund will be given in this situation.
All rubbish must be placed in the provided bins at the end of each lesson.
Abusive or offensive behaviour toward staff or venue staff will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the lesson.
Children must wear the approved swim cap during lessons. No other swim caps are permitted. Failure to comply may result in your child being unable to participate.

Rules for Baby/Toddler and Parent Swimming Lessons

Rule 1

Neither you nor the guardian may enter the swimming pool until instructed to do so.

Rule 2

Babies and toddlers may only participate if a parent or nominated guardian can enter the water with them and assume responsibility.

Rule 3

All rubbish and nappies must be disposed of in the provided bins after each lesson.

Rule 4

Photography is strictly prohibited during lessons. A designated lesson may be arranged for photographs, and you will be informed in advance. Participation in this lesson is optional.

Booking and Payment Conditions

Rule 1

A contract is formed once a completed booking form and payment are submitted to Baby Swim Galway.

Rule 2

Bookings are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Day and time preferences cannot be guaranteed without full payment before the deadline.

Rule 3

If your preferred course is unavailable, you will be contacted to arrange an alternative.

Rule 4

All correspondence will be sent to the contact details provided. You must notify us immediately of any changes to your personal details.

Lesson Cancellation

Rule 1

Lessons may occasionally be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, an alternative lesson will be arranged or credit applied to the next term.

Rule 2

If Baby Swim Galway cancels lessons, they will be added to the end of the course where possible. Refunds are not offered if you cannot attend rescheduled lessons.

Rule 3

If more than two lessons are cancelled, credit will be issued for the cancelled lessons for the following course.

Private and Group Lessons:

Rule 1

A 24-hour cancellation policy applies.

Rule 2

Cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable and non-creditable.

Rule 3

Cancellations outside 24 hours will be rescheduled at no extra cost.

Course Cancellation

Rule 1

If a course does not commence due to insufficient enrolment, an alternative course will be offered. If unsuitable, credit will be applied to the next term.

Rule 2

Customer-initiated cancellations are not eligible for a full refund. Deposits are non-refundable.

Where full payment has been made:

Rule 1

More than 7 days before course start: €30 administration fee applies.

Rule 2

Less than 7 days before course start: 25% of the course fee is refunded.

Rule 3

Less than 48 hours before course start: no refund is given.

Missed or unattended lessons are not refundable.
A confirmation email will be sent within two working days.

Lesson Catch-Up Policy

Rule 1

Two catch-up lessons per term are offered, subject to availability.

Rule 2

Parents or guardians must notify us of any planned absences.

Rule 3

Catch-up lessons are arranged at your usual venue within the same term where possible.

Rule 4

Missed catch-up lessons are not rescheduled without 24-hour notice.

Rule 4

Catch-up lessons cannot be carried over to the next term.

Health and Safety

Rule 1

Children must be supervised at all times before, during, and after lessons.

Rule 2

Babies and toddlers must wear swim nappies and appropriate swimwear.

Rule 3

Any medical conditions, illnesses, or allergies must be disclosed to the instructor before lessons begin.

Rule 4

If a participant is deemed unfit to swim, attendance may be refused without refund.

Medical withdrawals require written confirmation from a GP or specialist. Refunds, where applicable, are calculated based on remaining lessons and issued at the end of the course.

General Information

Lesson Numbers

Every effort is made to keep lesson numbers low. Target class sizes are indicative and may be adjusted if necessary.

Leisure Centre Terms

All participants must comply with the rules and policies of the leisure centre venue, including parking regulations.

Lost Property

Personal belongings are the responsibility of the participant. Baby Swim Galway is not liable for loss, damage, or theft.

Privacy Policy

All personal data is securely stored and not accessible to unauthorised persons. Credit and debit card details are not stored. While every precaution is taken, online data transmission is at your own risk.

By enrolling and making payment, you consent to the use of photographs of your child for promotional purposes unless you notify us otherwise in writing.

Personal details provided through our website or forms may be used for correspondence by email, post, text, or phone. You may opt out of communications at any time.

Gift Cards

Gift certificates are non-redeemable for cash.
They are non-transferable and may not be resold.
Lost, stolen, or damaged gift certificates will not be replaced.
Gift certificates cannot be combined with other vouchers or promotions.
